All MyKing users can control what others see on their contact cards. You can set different visibility options for groups such as Students, Teachers, Parents, Nurses, and others.
You can adjust privacy settings only when logged into the account you want to edit.
Please review the notes on privacy settings below and follow the step-by-step instructions to edit your settings.
Important:
- Faculty and staff rely on MyKing to access student and family contact information. If you restrict King employees from viewing your child’s contact card, school administrators may need to reset your privacy settings to ensure communication can continue. If this happens, we will always notify you.
- The directory setting below should remain on the second option:
“Include my name and use my General settings…”
If you select the first option (“…but do not include any other information”), no users — including King employees — will be able to see your contact card. This may limit the school’s ability to reach your family when needed. If you want to limit what certain groups (such as Students, Parents, Teachers, or Nurses) can see, please continue with the instructions below.
Edit Privacy Settings per Roles
- Log in to MyKing, click your Name in the upper right corner, and then click Settings.
- On the left, click Privacy.
- Under General Settings, you will see a list of roles with drop-down menus (such as Students, Parents, Teachers, Nurses, etc.).
Click the drop-down next to the role you’d like to edit.
Use the checklist to turn on or off what that role can see on your contact card.
