MyKing Not Loading Properly - Clearing Cache/Cookies

Created by Joshua Lee, Modified on Tue, Mar 25 at 9:37 AM by Joshua Lee

Blackbaud hosts MyKing, and sometimes, cached credentials in your browser may cause login issues due to conflicts or corruption.

If you receive the error message:

“Something went wrong - Your Blackbaud ID email does not match a user in the system. Please contact your administrator.”

or the webpage asks you to keep refreshing / loading indefinitely, clearing your cache and cookies is the first step to troubleshooting the issue.

Below are step-by-step instructions for clearing cache and cookies in Safari and Google Chrome, the two most commonly used browsers.

Google Chrome (Mac & Windows)

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.

  2. At the top right, click More More and then Delete browsing data.

  3. Set the Time range to All time.

  4. Check the boxes for:
    Cookies and other site data
    Cached images and files
(You may leave “Browsing History” unchecked.)
  5. Click Delete Data.

  6. Restart Chrome:
    • On a Mac - Click Chrome in the top-left menu bar, then select Quit Chrome.
    • On Windows - Click the at the top right.
    • Relaunch Chrome and try logging in to MyKing again.

For Safari (Mac)
  1. Open the Safari app  on your Mac.

  2. Click Safari in the top-left menu bar and select Settings (or Preferences on older versions).

  3. Go to the Privacy tab.

  4. Click Manage Website Data.

    1. Optional: If you want to clear your entire cache and cookies, click Remove All. (This will NOT delete saved passwords, only site settings.)

    2. Wait for the process to complete, then click Done.

  5. To clear only MyKing and Blackbaud-related data:

    1.    In the search bar, type Blackbaud. Delete all filtered entries.

    2.    Repeat this process for the following.

      • Google

      • Myking

      • myschool

    3.    Click Done when finished.

  6.    Restart Safari:

    1. Click Safari in the top-left menu bar, then select Quit Safari.

    2. Relaunch Safari and try logging in to MyKing again.

  7. If you continue experiencing the same issue and only deleted MyKing/Blackbaud-related data in Step 5, try again and select Remove All in Step 4.
