IMPORTANT NOTES
If you notice that the screen is not displaying anything when you enter the Commons, you should first reset the system. To do this, turn off the system from the touch panel (steps 6 and 7 in the Projector/Screen section), wait 30 seconds, and then start from step 2.
If you will be presenting a video with audio, you must control the volume of the audio by adjusting it from the touch screen. When the projector is turned on and the screen is down, you will see a volume slider on the bottom of the touch screen. Move the slider to the left to lower the volume and right to increase the volume. See below for a reference.
How to Turn the Projector/Screen On
Wake the touch screen panel that is wall mounted and located at the back of the Commons by touching anywhere on the screen.
Select Watch.
On the next screen, please select Podium.
Wait a few seconds - you should hear an audible beep coming from the projector and the screen will start to come down.
Go to the front of the room where the podium is located and connect the HDMI cable with the adapter to your device.
Once you are done with everything, please turn off the projector/screen by going back to the touch screen and selecting the Power button located in the upper right corner.
Select Power Off.
How to Turn On the Wireless Microphones
Go to the rack that is the closest to the touch panel and open the cover.
Turn on the rack by flipping the red switch located near the bottom of the rack.
Open up the very bottom drawer (press down on the black handle and while holding it down, pull the drawer out).
Grab one of the wireless mics (or both if needed) and power on the microphone(s) by holding down the button located at the bottom of the microphone for at least 3 seconds. Let go and you should see a small green light.
Make sure to flip the switch that’s on the side of the microphone. We recommend flipping this switch to turn the microphone off when it is not being used to conserve battery life.
You can control the mic volume by going back to the same rack and adjusting the knob for either 23 or 24 (labels are on the microphone).
Once you are done with the event, please turn the microphones off by holding down the red button located on the bottom for at least 3 seconds, place the microphones back in the drawer, turn the rack off, and close the cover.
