- When you see a pop-up like the one below, close it by clicking the red icon in the upper-left corner of the window.
Next, log out to begin the migration process.
Apple icon > Log out [Username] - You will see a new login window. Enter your full King School email address and your password.
- After logging in, you will see a prompt like the one below asking you to enable FileVault.
Click Enable - this step is mandatory.
Enabling FileVault enhances your device's security and allows IT to help recover your account if needed. If FileVault is not enabled and you forget your password, you may be permanently locked out of your MacBook.
- Your data will now be encrypted.
This process may take a few minutes - please be patient! - Once FileVault is enabled, your migration is complete! You may now continue using your MacBook as normal.
